Unbeaten Songbird (Medaglia d’Oro) tuned up for the Oct. 31 GI Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies with a six-furlong work at Santa Anita Sunday in 1:13.60. The move earned positive reviews from connections. “It was a good work,” trainer Jerry Hollendorfer said of the GI Del Mar Debutante and GI Chandelier S. winner. Jockey Mike Smith, aboard for Sunday’s work, was more effusive in his praise. “She felt wonderful,” Smith said. “All systems are go. She really did everything nice and smooth and galloped out really good. One more light breeze [next Saturday] and then she heads out.”
